About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team as we progress deeper into the international and enterprise markets.

In this role, you will benefit from inbound leads as well as being responsible for attracting new prospective customers and up-sell opportunities, create outreach strategies, and identify opportunities and sell the Sprint Education value proposition to help them meet their goals and help you hit your monthly/quarterly goals.

You’ll be consulting and collaborating with large enterprise companies and prospects which include FTSE 100 businesses and global brands, and inspire and on-board smaller businesses, nurturing them to become our future Enterprise-level customers. You’ll work in partnership with our marketing team and also you’ll be helping other clients recognise the benefits of executing their marketing and sales to schools from one consolidated place, using our marketing and sales software - Campus (our SAAS).

This is a terrific opportunity for an aspiring BDM or AE sales professional looking to join a high-growth digital agency with untapped potential.

Salary and Holidays

Salary
£28,481 - £41,158 depending on experience
OTE of £70,000+ (commission is uncapped)

You have, you are, you can:

  • Experience in a corporate/enterprise sales role either as a Business Development Manager, Account Executive, or a high performing SDR looking to take the next step in your career, or experience in another similar sales role with a demonstrated and successful track record of developing new accounts.
  • Excellent at multi-tasking. You can manage your workload, internal tasks, and customer queries in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Impeccable customer skills and a strong sense of empathy and integrity.
  • Confident in meetings and presentations to customers and team members.
  • A proven track record of solving complex problems, driving initiatives, and a clear ability to explain complex concepts to audiences in a simplistic way.
  • Follow a disciplined sales process, are organised and analytical, and are able to identify and eliminate sales and product obstacles creatively and quickly.
  • Demonstrate excellent consultative, relationship building skills with a strong attention to detail and have a proven ability to penetrate, build and nourish meaningful long term relationships with senior executives and other key stakeholders within the enterprise.
  • Work well with others and have a strong emotional IQ. You know how to influence people who do not work for you, and know when to push and not push.
  • Demonstrated a proven track record for sales and business growth. You are competitive and can lead.
  • An overachiever and not satisfied with “just” making quota. Having set and met or exceeded goals is required.
  • Are customer-focused and highly responsive.
  • Outstanding written, oral, and Microsoft Office skills.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Becoming an education sector specialist - there won't be a thing about education that you don't know.
  • Partnering with our prospects and customers to help them achieve their broader Edu-Marketing goals.
  • Providing on-going direction, and strategy, to our customers and our internal Campaigns Team.
  • Leveraging an effective sales process to build qualified deals, build relationships with key decision makers, and connect our customers’ business needs and goals with Sprint Education’s core products and services.
  • Qualifying and closing deals for Sprint Education and up-selling current customers onto Enterprise level deals.
  • Conducting customer meetings/training sessions.
  • Accurately entering, updating, and maintaining daily activity, forecast, and opportunity information.
  • Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of all Sprint Education's solutions.
  • Exceeding monthly and quarterly objectives and quotas.
  • Maintaining a culture of collaboration, friendly competition, and fun.
  • Contributing to Sprint Education’s internal marketing strategy and content.

It would be super-good to have:

(although not essential)

  • Creative writing skills, blog writing experience.
  • An existing understanding of email marketing.
  • Experience selling into agencies and/or marketing departments of major brands and small businesses.
  • A strong working knowledge of marketing concepts and processes.
