Our technical infrastructure is the most advanced in our sector. We are the only education agency to own, host and manage our servers/IPs in-house. This means we are in complete control of our clients' email paths which ensures a much better deliverability rate.

Put briefly, when we broadcast an email for a client to schools, the emails go through our system and servers direct to the school filter systems. This direct route is best email marketing practice, and from a filter system's perspective looks ‘trustworthy’; the result being more emails get through to the desired recipients.

Other agencies that rent their servers from external third party organisations send your emails from their system direct to the third party servers, before then redirecting the emails on towards the schools. Many school filter systems will recognise this indirect path as suspicious/spam and ultimately block more of your emails from ever reaching the teachers.

Last year we invested £197k in research and software development so that our services and Campus are continually focused on maximising our clients’ sales, or streamlining our own internal processes, so we can spend more time working closely with our clients, and helping them to conquer the education sector.

We invest over £202k each year in the cleansing and maintenance of our education database which is managed 100% in-house. This ensures our clients can hit the widest and most targeted audience possible within the education sector.

This annual investment equates to a super-accurate database with over 12,257 updates being made in the last 30 days alone.

Emailing Services

It’s simple for you. After confirming your order we will schedule in your send date(s) and then either get to work on the design and build of your emails (if you have asked us to create the emails for you), or take your own design and build the emails in HTML format.

Once this stage is complete you will be sent the email as an online proof to check and sign off.

Finally, we’ll create your targeted send list, upload your email to our servers and test before broadcasting it on your delivery date.

If included as part of your order, 7 days after sending you will be sent your tracking report and database of qualified leads.

The email will appear to come from you or your company’s name. There is no mention of Sprint Education.

Your email will be received by your requested target audience. So for example, if you choose to target Heads of Maths in Secondary Schools, we will broadcast your email direct to the inboxes of those contacts, or to the school office addressed to the Head of Maths if we do not have a specific contact’s direct email address.

The education sector’s average open rates are 17%, whilst the average for the campaigns we design for our clients average around 25%.

The education sector’s average click rates are 4.6%, whilst the average for the campaigns we design for our clients average around 11.2%.

A response rate will vary considerably from company to company depending on a number of different variables, with the main determining factor being if you have chosen for our experts to write and design your content for you. This can hugely increase responses/sales.

If you order a Lead Creation Plan or Master Plan then our team of expert copywriters and designers will design and build your HTML emails. If you order a stand-alone campaign (and choose not to add on our design service) then you are required to provide the email content and design. We will then build the HTML version for you following your design.

HTML email is an email that is formatted like a web page, using colours, graphics, table columns and links. Imagine any newsletter that you receive from a company, that's most likely an HTML email. A plain text email is an email that only includes text.

You do not get access to our data as part of the email service. To access our data you will need to set up a Campus account which is designed to work in conjunction with our managed email service.

You can however order a database of qualified leads as part of your email campaign. This additional Database of Qualified Leads will give you the contact details of up to 1,000 teachers that open your email and then go on to engage with it by either downloading images or clicking on links. Because they have expressed a clear interest in what your email had to offer, we can then pass you their direct contact details for you to follow up in-house.

A tracking report provides a detailed statistical analysis of an email campaign's performance, from opens and clicks, to bounces and average sector performance.

When building an email, we include a 1x1 invisible tracking image to an email (a single-pixel gif, sometimes called a web beacon) within the content of the message. When the recipient opens the message, the tracking image is referenced. When they click a link or open an attachment, another tracking code is activated. In each case a separate tracking event is recorded by the system.

Add a Tracking Report to your campaign for just £50 + VAT. Tracking is included as standard as part of our Lead Creation Plan, Master Plan and Annual strategies.

A Database of Qualified Leads gives you access to the contact details (email, name, position, school name, phone number) of up to 1,000 teachers/schools that showed a clear interest in your email. Leads are measured when a recipient chooses to download an image, and/or clicks a link. A Database of Qualified Leads can be added to your campaign for £399 + VAT. They are included as standard as part of the Lead Creation Plan and Master Plan.

If over 1,000 leads are generated you can choose to order the extra leads for an additional £400 + VAT per 1,000.

Your specific payment terms will be stated on your invoice, but generally an email campaign must be paid before your send date. For any discounted strategy price to be accounted for, the strategy must be paid in one instalment or the pre-agreed payment terms.

Education Data

There are two ways to access our data. By creating a Campus account, or ordering a bespoke version of our database. Both options give you access to the data through an online portal with live updates. Or for complex data structures you may be sent a CSV/Excel version of the data to use.

If the establishment postal and email records are proven to be more than 2% inaccurate we will refund you twice the value of the individual data fields (price determined by Sprint Education) for any inaccurate data that exceeds the 2% threshold.

We invest £202k per year in the cleansing and maintenance of the Education Database, which contributes to a super-accurate database - we’ve made 12,257 updates in the last month alone. It is cleansed and updated on a rolling cycle, where, the data is verified using phone, email, web, and postal channels, and competition entries. This ensures that your database is constantly being updated for you every single time you access it.

You have the opportunity to access all manner of education data fields, from school contact details, emails, websites, to data on pupils, Ofsted, exams, budgets, and even the names and job roles of over 295,000 named school staff. The only thing we are not permitted to pass out is the direct email address of a contact to third parties. If you want to email a contact directly (e.g. john.smith@school.schu.uk) then you will need to look at our managed emailing service.

We can provide a database of school contact details along with the names of specific teachers, but we are not permitted to pass out the direct emails of teachers to third parties.

If you do want to email teachers directly then we have to broadcast the email on your behalf. When we do this we can get the emails to land in the teachers’ inboxes, plus the emails appear to come from you, and you receive all the responses, there is no mention of Sprint Education.

As many times as you want within the 12 month licence period.

The schools and teachers in our database are not opted-in. Because the data is public sector information you do not require explicit consent to contact them. However you must ensure that you are sending relevant communications to them (i.e. education based), and you provide an opt-out or unsubscribe option for all contacts.

Yes. We renew our entry in the ICO’s (Information Commissioner’s Office) register every February. Our register entry is ZA143246 if you wanted to look us up you can at www.ico.org.uk. We have to pay our subscription and register annually with the ICO by law because we are an organisation that processes personal data. Failure to notify (register with the ICO) is a criminal offence.

Yes! We can design, print and post out to schools and school staff for you. We generally have a minimum order quantity of 4,000 items. Details of this service can be found here.

Yes of course! You can post/courier these across to us to process.

They certainly can. If we do not have a named teacher at a specific school, then the generic job role will be used instead.

This will depend on the size and timing of your campaign, along with other factors. However, they are generally turned around within 10 working days from receipt of printed materials.

Your specific payment terms will be stated on your invoice, but generally a postal campaign cannot be posted until full payment has been received. Payment may be at point of printing if Sprint Education are managing the campaign's printing.

We certainly do! We are the only education marketing agency in the UK to own, host and manage our own servers. We invest £197k per year in this infrastructure but it is imperative to ensure our clients' campaigns outperform any other option within the education marketing sector.

Our mirrored servers are hosted across two different sites within Gloucestershire, UK. This means not only are our sending reputations with schools better than many foreign hosted servers used by other marketing agencies, but it also means we are always within just 12 miles of our servers, so if ever a hardware issue occurred we could pop round in a jiffy and get things fixed, therefore reducing any downtime.

We have built up solid reputations for our servers since 2007. Which means our IPs are recognised by many education filter systems. These reputations can only be established over a long-term period, which leads to better deliverability, responses, and ultimately sales rates for our clients.

We also comply with all email marketing regulations, keep regular contact with email providers, and update any bounced email data instantly to ensure our servers remain whitelisted.
